Men of Faith...
The 2008 Men of Faith Conference was held at Garrett College on Saturday, April 19, 2008. It was truly an outstanding conference according to many of those in attendance. Though the conference was deemed a success, there were many challenges and obstacles that Satan placed in front of us. It was truly a time to either fold the tents or to be Men of Faith.
The first hurdle to overcome was the notification from Junius Lewis, one of our speakers over the last several years. We were told that Junius was hospitalized and unable to attend the conference. Next came the phone call from our Master of Ceremonies, Don Forrester. Don became ill on Friday and was unable to attend this years conference. Satan was hard at work.
Victory belongs to the Lord! It was decided early on that this years conference would feature men giving their testimony as to what God did for them. Orriginally, the men were limited to approximately 10 minutes but, because of Junius' absence, and the working of the Holy Spirit, the men giving their testimonies were allowed additional time. It all works out for the good to those who love the Lord!
